So, the action plan is in full swing now and I’ve added to it and taken away from it as required. The funny thing is how easy it has been to keep it in mind. By that I mean I know when I’m straying from the plan and I know when it’s influencing my decisions and stopping me going off on too much of a tangent.
One of the strategies that I’ve added to my action plan, is to put aside some time 2-3 times a week creating backlinks. I spent some money in the Warrior Special Offer on a plan that should gain, what has become my main site, a ton of backlinks.
But however I get them, I’m in hot pursuit of them. Here is my backlink foray:
- Posting comments to blogs in my niche! Checking on the 20 blog comments that I did ten days ago, the comments have all been approved! So no spammy comments.
- Forum marketing. I’m not particularly hot on this because I kinna feel all dirty when I rock up in a forum, start answering questions and then some time later produce a signature with my site on it!
- Article marketing! Still writing those articles, several a day, and submitting them.
- I’ve also been submitting my blog to a ton of blog directories, which takes time and is perhaps something I should seriously consider outsourcing!
- Leaving/rating articles in EzineArticles is also a good source, though again, I’m careful to read the article and I have a genuine comment.
- Twitter! You either love it or hate it!
- Link exchange! Find this tricky and though I’ve tried it, I’ve only ever got 2 links this way
- Yahoo Answers. I really enjoy that.
Suffice to say, I’m backlinking like crazy and just like the article writing, it is money in the bank!

Well, it’s been a little while since I was last here, but that has to be a good thing, right? Especially when I’ve been working my socks off building up my business.
So here’s the news. I’ve developed a whole new niche and it is HOT! And what’s good is that it’s within my business plan and overall plan and through sticking to that plan, I believe I’ve found my over all niche! I’ve already had more hits with this one site than I’ve had with my other sites combined! I’ve started making money - I’m giving myself a month to add it all up and then I’ll post the amount here! I’m tracking the income on a daily/weekly basis, but I want a full month before I post it!
As per my stated plan, I’ve not spent any money on PPC or anything like that. I’m Bum Marketingand really enjoying it. I’ve written my first ebook and outsourced the graphics. I had to, the thought of learning PhotoShop and inevitably making a mess of it just wasn’t worth while! If there’s one thing these past few months has taught me is that when you need to spend money on your business, do it! Anything else, branching out into a realm that is not your expertise will in the long run, cost you money!
I’ve also been doing some forum marketing and I’ve found a couple of ways to add backlinks to my sites. This week I plan to stay on the backlinking to my hot new site and boost the standing in Google. Keep Google happy and fed and that can only bring in new visitors.
Happy marketing guys!

Well I got sent this link a few days ago and I’ve been trying it out, it’s called CommentKahuna and it’s totally free!
What it does is offer you a good source for good quality backlinks to your blog through commenting on other blogs. People have been commenting on blogs for backlinks for ages I hear you say, but how easy and quickly is it to find these blogs and websites? I know I’ve spent a good hour doing nothing else at times!
What the CommentKahunadoes is find the blogs and websites in your particular niche for you and it then gives you opportunity to leave a good quality, non spammy comment on that blog. Simply download the software, fill out the fields, category, type of site ie. wordpress and then hit the submit button. The software will throw up a number of blogs in your niche where you can leave valuable comments with your URL on it.
So no more trawling through Google trying to find like minded blogs to leave a comment on. Check it out, if I can figure out how to use it, and I did and have, then it’s pretty easy and a very useful tool. And did I mention that it’s free? Go here!

So, I have a shed load of PLR (Private Label Rights) taking up space on my hard drive and I’ve finally decided to use some of it. Given that my old day job was as a published writer, you think I wouldn’t need to buy PLR! Well that’s exactly why I buy it, or acquire it, and then why I spend too much time fussing over it.
Not entirely sure what per centage of it you’re suppose to change to make it your own, I’ve seen figures from 33% - 50%, well if I set off fiddling with PLR, I have been known to change the whole of the thing, and well that can go some way to defeating the whole purpose of PLR. So mostly I struggle to use the PLR I have for that reason.
But when you get good PLR, written specifically for you and not some crap you scrape up from some giveaway, you can see the difference. I had some specific PLR delivered today and it was superb. Up until today, my only experience with PLR had been buying packs that had a circulation of 60 or whatever, basically PLR NOT written for me. In fact, one pack I bought was from a very well known writer and given that this whole business talks constantly about ‘over delivering’ you could very easily see that this writer had simply churned out the one page article, tacked their name on it, and had spectacularly, IMHO, failed to over deliver! Wasn’t impressed!
So, from a marketer on the first rung of a very lowly ladder, allow me to offer up some advise: if you’re going for PLR, get it written specifically for you. It is a superb investment that your business will truly benefit from.

Well all is well with me, I feel a lot more positive about my prospects and outlook in IM and it is pretty much just a matter of time before I start seeing some cash rewards.
I have seen some success via selling off some old stock I’ve had hanging around. Made about $600 on Ebay over the past two weeks. Good money that I’ve flung at my debts and I’ve got to say it was great to pay a little chunck of it off. It’s important to me to clear out the old stuff of my life - Ebaying is what I’ve been doing for the past 18 months and I gotta say I’m sick to death of it! So, yes! Great to shift this stock and move forward!
I’ve just done some backlinking to my main blog, because let’s face it, you can do all the daily posting you like, you can write all the articles and submitt them to directories, but if you ain’t got no backlinks, you’re pushing a pea up hill with your nose! So I’ve laid down a plan, spent the whole of today implementing that plan and I’m hopefully going to start seeing some backlinks to my blog that the big G will gobble up.
The last product that I bought, I’ve been working through that and been enjoying it. Right now I’m at the stage of learning - AGAIN - about how to do Keyword Research properly! It’s really funny that no matter how much you know about something, or you think you know what you’re doing, it sometimes takes one writer to write it in a certain way for the information to hit home! Kerching!
Keyword Research is vital when embarking on a new niche and you miss out certain steps at your peril. You approach it with too much emotion, at your peril! And you approach it in a half-assed, piss poor way and you just end up losing a whole pile of money. Well I did my research and I got me a whole new niche, with killer numbers, and I’m gonna invest in that niche in the next few weeks, just got to stick to my plan and keep on working on my main blog!
Happy marketing whoever’s reading!
