So, the action plan is in full swing now and I’ve added to it and taken away from it as required. The funny thing is how easy it has been to keep it in mind. By that I mean I know when I’m straying from the plan and I know when it’s influencing my decisions and stopping me going off on too much of a tangent.

One of the strategies that I’ve added to my action plan, is to put aside some time 2-3 times a week creating backlinks. I spent some money in the Warrior Special Offer on a plan that should gain, what has become my main site, a ton of backlinks.

But however I get them, I’m in hot pursuit of them. Here is my backlink foray:

Posting comments to blogs in my niche! Checking on the 20 blog comments that I did ten days ago, the comments have all been approved! So no spammy comments.

Forum marketing. I’m not particularly hot on this because I kinna feel all dirty when I rock up in a forum, start answering questions and then some time later produce a signature with my site on it!

Article marketing! Still writing those articles, several a day, and submitting them.

I’ve also been submitting my blog to a ton of blog directories, which takes time and is perhaps something I should seriously consider outsourcing!

Leaving/rating articles in EzineArticles is also a good source, though again, I’m careful to read the article and I have a genuine comment.

Twitter! You either love it or hate it!

Link exchange! Find this tricky and though I’ve tried it, I’ve only ever got 2 links this way

Yahoo Answers. I really enjoy that.

Suffice to say, I’m backlinking like crazy and just like the article writing, it is money in the bank!

Well, it’s been a little while since I was last here, but that has to be a good thing, right? Especially when I’ve been working my socks off building up my business.

So here’s the news. I’ve developed a whole new niche and it is HOT! And what’s good is that it’s within my business plan and overall plan and through sticking to that plan, I believe I’ve found my over all niche! I’ve already had more hits with this one site than I’ve had with my other sites combined! I’ve started making money - I’m giving myself a month to add it all up and then I’ll post the amount here! I’m tracking the income on a daily/weekly basis, but I want a full month before I post it!

As per my stated plan, I’ve not spent any money on PPC or anything like that. I’m Bum Marketingand really enjoying it. I’ve written my first ebook and outsourced the graphics. I had to, the thought of learning PhotoShop and inevitably making a mess of it just wasn’t worth while! If there’s one thing these past few months has taught me is that when you need to spend money on your business, do it! Anything else, branching out into a realm that is not your expertise will in the long run, cost you money!

I’ve also been doing some forum marketing and I’ve found a couple of ways to add backlinks to my sites. This week I plan to stay on the backlinking to my hot new site and boost the standing in Google. Keep Google happy and fed and that can only bring in new visitors.

Happy marketing guys!

Well I got sent this link a few days ago and I’ve been trying it out, it’s called CommentKahuna and it’s totally free!

What it does is offer you a good source for good quality backlinks to your blog through commenting on other blogs. People have been commenting on blogs for backlinks for ages I hear you say, but how easy and quickly is it to find these blogs and websites? I know I’ve spent a good hour doing nothing else at times!

What the CommentKahunadoes is find the blogs and websites in your particular niche for you and it then gives you opportunity to leave a good quality, non spammy comment on that blog. Simply download the software, fill out the fields, category, type of site ie. wordpress and then hit the submit button. The software will throw up a number of blogs in your niche where you can leave valuable comments with your URL on it.

So no more trawling through Google trying to find like minded blogs to leave a comment on. Check it out, if I can figure out how to use it, and I did and have, then it’s pretty easy and a very useful tool. And did I mention that it’s free? Go here!

So, I have a shed load of PLR (Private Label Rights) taking up space on my hard drive and I’ve finally decided to use some of it. Given that my old day job was as a published writer, you think I wouldn’t need to buy PLR! Well that’s exactly why I buy it, or acquire it, and then why I spend too much time fussing over it.

Not entirely sure what per centage of it you’re suppose to change to make it your own, I’ve seen figures from 33% - 50%, well if I set off fiddling with PLR, I have been known to change the whole of the thing, and well that can go some way to defeating the whole purpose of PLR. So mostly I struggle to use the PLR I have for that reason.

But when you get good PLR, written specifically for you and not some crap you scrape up from some giveaway, you can see the difference. I had some specific PLR delivered today and it was superb. Up until today, my only experience with PLR had been buying packs that had a circulation of 60 or whatever, basically PLR NOT written for me. In fact, one pack I bought was from a very well known writer and given that this whole business talks constantly about ‘over delivering’ you could very easily see that this writer had simply churned out the one page article, tacked their name on it, and had spectacularly, IMHO, failed to over deliver! Wasn’t impressed!

So, from a marketer on the first rung of a very lowly ladder, allow me to offer up some advise: if you’re going for PLR, get it written specifically for you. It is a superb investment that your business will truly benefit from.

Well all is well with me, I feel a lot more positive about my prospects and outlook in IM and it is pretty much just a matter of time before I start seeing some cash rewards.

I have seen some success via selling off some old stock I’ve had hanging around. Made about $600 on Ebay over the past two weeks. Good money that I’ve flung at my debts and I’ve got to say it was great to pay a little chunck of it off. It’s important to me to clear out the old stuff of my life - Ebaying is what I’ve been doing for the past 18 months and I gotta say I’m sick to death of it! So, yes! Great to shift this stock and move forward!

I’ve just done some backlinking to my main blog, because let’s face it, you can do all the daily posting you like, you can write all the articles and submitt them to directories, but if you ain’t got no backlinks, you’re pushing a pea up hill with your nose! So I’ve laid down a plan, spent the whole of today implementing that plan and I’m hopefully going to start seeing some backlinks to my blog that the big G will gobble up.

The last product that I bought, I’ve been working through that and been enjoying it. Right now I’m at the stage of learning - AGAIN - about how to do Keyword Research properly! It’s really funny that no matter how much you know about something, or you think you know what you’re doing, it sometimes takes one writer to write it in a certain way for the information to hit home! Kerching!

Keyword Research is vital when embarking on a new niche and you miss out certain steps at your peril. You approach it with too much emotion, at your peril! And you approach it in a half-assed, piss poor way and you just end up losing a whole pile of money. Well I did my research and I got me a whole new niche, with killer numbers, and I’m gonna invest in that niche in the next few weeks, just got to stick to my plan and keep on working on my main blog!

Happy marketing whoever’s reading!

Well I’ve been getting nudges for a week or two about Mike Filsame’s Butterfly Reports Viral Marketing site and finally decided to join. I took a look and wasn’t really surprised that Mr Filsame would have his name all over this, pretty good. Yeah there have been other Viral Marketing tools launched, but the difference with this one is that it has an entry level that is FREE CLICK Here To Join!

How it works is that you can submitt your reports and ebooks and once you generate an affiliate link from Clickbank, Butterfly Reports and Paydotcom, your ebook is populated with those links! Great I say! Plus other website owners can select your report and off goes your report, populate it with their affiliate links and off goes your report out into the world bringing you traffic.

With the free entry you can upload one report per month and you can download one report per month. You can upgrade to the Platinum level as you’re signing up and you should recognise that if you don’t upgrade then and there, then you will not see Platinum at that price again. Might be worth the initial upgrade then if you can run to it! Plus I believe free entry level means that when you populate an ebook with your aff links it is only populated with 25% of your affiliate links, whereas Platinum will give you 100%.

The other great thing about this site is that the subject catagories for the ebooks are not limited to Internet Marketing, so if your niche is Health & Fitness, Home & Family etc. then you’ll find those subjects listed. However, since the site isn’t even a week old yet, it doesn’t currently have a great deal of reports under any heading, but this is Mr F we’re talking about, so pretty much, that won’t last for long. I say get in at ground level and do it now! CLICK HERE for entry to Butterfly Reports!

Hi folks! Well, there’s been lows and a couple of highs since I was last here! I’ve been ill in bed for a week and only working periodically from the old laptop, that’s still chugging along thank god! I’ve been writing a few articles for my main blog, determined to lift it out of the Google wilderness! Currently it’s averaging about 15-20 Uniques a day, not great, and despite offering a great ebook for free, no one will sign up my list. So yes, from my sick bed I’ve been sending off articles to Ezinearticles to lift the blog and I’ve posted almost every day to it.

Sad to report, but a week/10 days before I got sick, I kind of lost My Action Plan in all of this. I got into that ol’ Devil mindset of the Newbie and started jumping from one project to another. No focus, no written down goals, no concerted action.

It’s frightening how easy and how quickly you find yourself, buying products, reading a few pages and putting them down to get back to the next day, but then getting sidetracked by something else, or some other wonder product! People, I don’t have a track record, I haven’t made any money yet, but let me tell you! Don’t do it! It’s a recipe for disaster and low morale will be at your front door quicker than you can even imagine! So now I feel as though it is more than enough time to rededicate myself to My Action Plan.

Traffic! I have to concentrate for the whole of April on driving traffic to my main blog and by the end of April, have average Uniques of 30 - 40 per day and have 10 - 20 people signed up to my list. That is the bottom line!!!

Having said what I’ve said about jumping from project to project and product to product, I’ve signed up to a new course. I know! I know! But this course has been recommended to my by someone who I respect as a solution for the mess I find myself in. So, I’m going for it. Plus haven’t done a course before and this one takes you step by step through everything you need to be successful in IM. I’ve cancelled 3 membership site subscriptions to justify the spend on this course and I’ve made a vow that this is it. I will be working this programme and working on my main blog exculsively for the next month.

” I will be working this programme and working on my main blog exculsively for the next month!” I said that out loud, THREE TIMES, by the way!

I’ll tell you more about the course next time and I know I will have some good news to report re my blog stats.

Anyway, that’s all for now folks. Make some money!

Did you ever feel like you’d arrived late at a very boistrous, all hell let loose party, where sex had taken place, where money and wealth were the entry tickets? Where the ordinary looking guy with bad skin, got to go home with the beautiful girl and in a Porche no less! Where everyone already knew everyone elses name? Where everyone knew the latest dance and there you were, badly dressed, no dance partner, no money in your pockets, struggling with the steps as you try to keep some kind of rhythm to the music? Music that you’d never even heard before? Ever felt like that?

Remember when your mother told you to switch that computer off and go out and play with your friends? To go get some exercise or you’d turn into one of those pastey faced geeks who spoke an obscure language and whose only relief was to masturbate until he was blind, cause he’d never get a girlfriend?

Reader, I won’t go for the plural on that and humilate myself, I’ve just checked all my stats: Commission Junction, Adsense, Clickbank, PayPal and today I made the grand total of $0.01.

Not much more to say really is there?

I’ve been working on Traffic again on my main site. I’ve spent a lot of time dedicated to this site and although I’m not seeing any result money wise, it’s looking good and I know it’s all money in the bank.

I need to step up my Ezinearticles submission. Haven’t submitted an article for must be 10 days now, that’s not good. As I’ve said before I currently can’t afford to get into PPC/Adwords etc and so I’m pursuing organic traffic. Looking at my Google Analytics Reports does not inspire - so yes, more article writing.

Yahoo Answers is going well. I generally spend about 20 minutes a day answering questions in my chosen niche and it can be quite rewarding. Just got a bunch of Best Answers that have bumped my score, so that’s great. I’m thinking of buying a report from a guy that I outsourced to, that should help with my Yahoo Answers strategy, but I really need to reign in the spending, so I’ll do some hard cold thinking. Might be worth it in the end, but you just never really know.

Squidgoo Lens and Hub Pages, desperately need some input. I’ve got one of each up for two different niches and I really need to improve the existing two and put up a couple more. I’m thinking that the plan that I’ll sketch out this week will involve one of each in one of my niches. If I put up two every couple of weeks and stay on that, then I might start to see some traction there?

I’ve joined a couple of forums and have begun posting there. The trick is to start posting and offering good advise, WITHOUT your site in your signature. After a few weeks of regular work and making ‘friends’ then you add your site to your signature. This is a great way to get targeted traffic. So I’ve joined a couple of forums and have started posting away - let’s see how that one goes!

I’m still doing the social bookmarking, but haven’t really developed a plan for that and I really need to do that. I really need to sit down and draw up a plan and see how to approach that. In a way I’m already doing that Web 2.0 stuff, but sites like StumbleUpon, FaceBook and You Tube, need a plan for me to work and by the end of the month I will have one in place.

That’s all for now people.

Well I’ve had my head down for the past two weeks working on one project, that’s the way to approach this Internet Marketing, I’m told. Stick with one project until that’s earning a few dollars and then lather, rinse and repeat. So on another of my sites, I’ve been concentrating on getting traffic to it. It’s my oldest site, the site I first set up and it’s not doing at all badly.

I like to go the free route whenever I can. Adwords, at the moment, is not for me. If there’s a way to make a little dirt stick, I’m always gonna try throwing it myself, rather than paying someone else to throw it for me. I’ve been Bum Marketing as much as I possibly could - which works out at eleven articles and I’ve also been posting to my blog every day. It might not seem like a lot to some, but for it’s mamoth.

I also changed the theme on the blog and it’s looking a whole lot more professional and inviting. I’m already getting comments on the blog, so I’m super happy. There can be nothing worse than writing away and having the distinct feeling that no one out there is reading/listening. But the comments tell me otherwise!

I’ve also set up a couple of squeeze pages, to split test and see which one gives a better return - I’m even getting a hold of the lingo, as you can see!

I’ve set up a Squidoo Lens and linked it to my blog for even more traction and I’ve also done the same with a Hub. So as you can see, I’ve been busy. I’ll be sticking with my lead project for perhaps another week and I’ll evaluate it from there.

Happy marketing guys!
